Artizen offers basic Spell Checking, so If you have ever used Microsoft Word or Corel's WordPerfect you are
already pretty familiar with how Spell Checkers work. The biggest
difference between Artizen Spell Checker and most Word Processors is that
Artizen is context based, which means that Artizen doesn't actually
install with a completely populated Dictionary. This allows for faster
downloads and language independence.
Whenever you are adding a new Text Layer, the Type
Tool is used to enter your text. At the bottom right hand corner of this
Dialog Box is a button called "Spelling". This will
automatically scan through your recently typed text and if a word is not
listed in the Dictionary a pop appears presenting you with the options to
"Add", "Ignore" or "Change" the word. So if
your French, English, Spanish, Russian or Chinese all the words add will
be based on your needs, rather than assuming that everyone is English or
trying to provide a complete dictionary for each language.
Users can perform a quick trick to populate
their dictionaries. Open a simple word
essay at least one page long in some sort of word processor and perform a
spell check on it. Once complete and all misspelled words have been
corrected, simply add a new Text Layer in Artizen and paste all the text
into the Type Tool. Once pasted perform a Spell Check and add all of the words
and done, you now have a fairly well populated dictionary.
